Apples Garden of Pure Ideology! — On January 24th, Apple Computer has introduced Macintosh. In the meanwhile you have seen, why »2007« won’t be like »1984«. A Glorious Anniversary on Unifying the Thought. — Information Purification Directives Redirected: We Got One Users!

Intended message: My friends, each of you is a single cell in the great body of the State. And today, that great body has purged itself of parasites. We have triumphed over the unprincipled dissemination of facts. The thugs and wreckers have been cast out. — And the poisonous weeds of disinformation have been consigned to the dustbin of history. Let each and every cell rejoice! For [t]oday, we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directive! We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology, where each worker may bloom secure from the pests of contradictory and confusing truths. Our Unification of Thought is a more powerful weapon than any fleet or army on Earth. We are one people. With one will. One resolve. One cause. — Our enemies shall talk themselves to death. And we will bury them with their own confusion. — We shall prevail!

Evaluating the Differnce: Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing that you can't do is ignore them.Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written? Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels? — We make tools for these kinds of people. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Heuristically Programmed ALgorithmic Computers 1968: a »computer technology« were Natural language, lip reading, and plain common sense in computers are not any longer elements of science fiction. However, 2001 failed to predict many of the advances that would take place in computing by 2001. The film's creators felt that as computers got more powerful, they would get bigger and bigger—partly true, Blue Gene, a modern supercomputer is very large. HAL occupies much of the living area on Discovery. — A thin laptop or notepad computer is alluded to in a few scenes where they are used to relay news broadcasts from Earth. Also, the film’s portrayal of computer graphics are elegant, though minimalist compared to the graphics and visualization techniques available in 2001. — It was a bug, and I feel much better admitting that now!

The Perfect Thrill: Mid 2007, major airlines reached agreements to install iPod seat connections. The free service will allow passengers to power and charge their iPod, and view their video and music libraries on individual seat-back displays. — A Perfect Thing towards a well grown iPod Nation. — The name iPod was proposed by Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who, with others, was called by Apple to figure out how to introduce the new player to the public. After Chieco saw a prototype, he thought of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the phrase »Open the pod bay door, Hal!«, which refers to the white EVA Pods of the Discovery One spaceship. Apple had previously registered the name »iPod« for Internet kiosks, but never put it to use.

From this day forward we’re going to be known as Apple, Inc.
We've dropped the »Computer« from our name.

We really need to talk:
Byte on Hubbing, Steve!

»Brandentertaining« for ever ... very well makeuped. — »And we will bury them with their own confusion.«
